Dynamic Visuals collaborated with K-Pop star Grass under Korean music label, ONGRAY for her first-ever Australian-based music video. Set amongst the urban landscapes of Melbourne, Grass interacts with the not-so-nice side of Melburnians, but doesn’t let some spilled coffee and a broken-down car get to her. ‘Even Better’ showcases to international audiences what Melbourne has to offer: staple restaurants and vibrant streets along inner-city suburb Collingwood, ending the final chorus on the rooftop amongst the lit-up CBD skyline. In the K-pop industry, the music video is the most important part of the marketing process, with Korean director Kim Young-Jo stating that the music video is the most-consumed content around the world when a K-pop group drops an album (2022). He states that it showcases an artist's “most attractive points” (Kim 2022), displaying unseen sides of their personalities to their dedicated fans. It was a valuable opportunity to collaborate with Grass and her creative team to achieve an exceptional outcome that exceeded their expectations.
“We had two days of pre-production before Grass and her team arrived in Melbourne for the shoot. In that time we managed to lock down 6 locations, 15 extras, and an amazing crew for this shoot. Despite the pressure, the shoot was super smooth sailing and it was a great opportunity working with an international client.” -Angela Lopez, Producer and Dynamic Visuals’ Account Manager.
“It’s a good time shooting with your crew, and your team is so nice,” Ju-Young, Grass’ creative director.
